BNP Paribas is nominated “World’s Best Trade Finance Bank” for 2005
BNP Paribas is continuing the steady development of its network of Trade Centers. On October 24, a new center opened its doors in Moscow, taking the number of Trade Centers opened by BNP Paribas in 2005 to six –- following the inaugurations in May of Trade Centers in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, and in June of three Trade Centers in Turkey.
BNP Paribas now has 76 Trade Centers (including 13 in France), in 48 countries, across the 5 continents.
Within this network, some 200 specialists in international trade provide support for around 15,000 international customers, offering them unique access to all countries in which its Trade Centers are established.
The effectiveness of this Trade Center network was recently recognized by Global Finance Magazine, which nominated BNP Paribas the “World’s Best Trade Finance Bank” for 2005. BNP Paribas is the only French bank to be included in the “World’s Best Banks 2005”.
This award emphasizes the expertise and performance of BNP Paribas in all its trade finance activities, especially through its “Global Trade Services” program and in raw materials trading.
A BNP Paribas Trade Center is a services center for companies doing international business. The Trade Center is a unique entry point for the customer, where specialists provide a complete range of products, services and tailor-made solutions for Trade Finance. In addition, the different centers can either sell directly or act as intermediaries to offer cash management products, exchange facilities and export finance for the long and medium term.
