In the last 6 years the rating “Capital 100”, which is issued by the leading business media group in Bulgaria “Economedia”, turned to a barometer of the domestic business climate identifying the country’s economic development trends. The rating classifies the 100 biggest Bulgarian companies in all important sectors of the economy as “Construction”, “Transport”, “Fuels”, “Retail”, “Food and Beverage”, “Machinery Construction”, etc. according to their incomes.

The data for the rating is collected from public sources of information, regulatory authorities, the Trade Register and from voluntarily supplied information by the companies themselves. The financial data on the public entities is gathered from the Bulgaria Stock Exchange and the Financial Supervision Commission.

For the first time this year, the rating “Capital 100” includes a category for the best financial institutions in Bulgaria. It is based on the data published by the Bulgarian National Bank. For the final rating were used various indicators, divided into four groups, each having different weight for the end result – stability (50% total weight), efficiency (30% total weight), size (10% total weight) and dynamics (10% total weight).

After we were informed that in the rating’s new issue will be included a special financial category, we contacted “Economedia” and nominated BNP Paribas Personal Finance, Bulgaria. We provided company data on incomes, financial results, assets and number of employees. Fortunately, BNP Paribas Personal Finance, Bulgaria was named Best Non-Banking Credit Institution of 2011.

Regarding the award Mr. Loic Le Pichoux stated: “I would like to thank for this award to our 2 600 merchant partners, to all the company’s more than 1500 employees and to our nearly 1 million clients. In the last 10 years we granted them credits exceeding BGN 1,2 billion. Thus we stimulate the consumption in Bulgaria and contribute to the economy’s development.”
