As we are approaching March 1st, the BNP Paribas employees organized early spring initiative jointly with the Dechitsa Foundation.
On February 19th the BNP Paribas’ Concept Store was transformed into an improvised workshop where children and employees put forth their imagination to create the traditional Bulgarian martenitsa. The Atelier’s aim was to educate the children about the martenitsa’s origin and its tradition.
The martenitsas will be available for sale on February 26th from 11 am to 3 pm in the BNP Paribas’ Concept Store. All gathered funds will be used by the Foundation for children in need in particular for orphans from four family-type centres in Sofia.
The Dechitsa Foundation has been working over the last 10 years with children in need aged 3 to 18 while following the belief that it is best to ‘teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime’. The Foundation supports children by broadening their social integration and developing their self-esteem.
